In 2011, millions of children were dying annually from water-related illnesses preventable by handwashing alone. A portion of every purchase directly supports our global mission to provide communities access to soap, clean water, and hygiene education. To date, we've donated over 13 million bars of soap and helped build new clean water wells in 23 countries.

How did you come up with the idea for this product? In 2011, Bill and Courtney Apple learned that 5 million children die each year from water-related illnesses preventable with handwashing. In 2012, during a trip to Haiti, they witnessed firsthand how a give-back model could change lives. This inspired them to create a soap that could save lives through our BUY ONE, GIVE BACK program and launch our company.

What makes your product special? In a world full of challenges, soap is our superpower. At Hand in Hand, our decisions—from supply chain to packaging—ensure that something as simple as soap can profoundly impact people and the planet.

What has been the best part of your experience? Our 2012 trip to Haiti showed us the tangible impact of our give-back model on people's lives, validating our mission.

Our expansion to Cambodia In 2018, we expanded our efforts to Cambodia in partnership with ECO SOAP BANK, recycling wasted hotel soaps to distribute to impoverished communities, reducing waste and promoting hygiene.

Are Hand in Hand products Palm Oil-free? Yes! Unlike most personal care brands, we never use palm oil. Its production destroys rainforests and habitats, and is linked to human rights abuses.

Are Hand in Hand products vegan? All our ingredients are 100% vegan and never tested on animals, reflecting our commitment to protecting rainforests and endangered species.

How big of an impact has Hand in Hand made with its "buy one, give back" program and global clean water mission? To date, we've donated over 13.8 million bars of soap, 120,000 gallons of clean water, and helped build new clean water wells in over 23 countries.
